The six week training programme
Introduction
Hello, my name is Brad David, I am 14 years old and from Swansea. The sport I play is Football and I have been playing competitive football three years ago when I signed for Bishopston.I currently play for Mumbles union. I play 3 different positions left back, left mid/wing and striker. I have played for one previous club which was Bishopston. I realy miss a game the only games I hgave been subed off was when i got injured. Ihave played a part in 11 games out of 11. I train every week on a wednesday. We train on astroturf in the winter but down underhill on the grass in the summer.


The main physical and technical requirements i need in football and for a left winger (or right winger.)
Physical
-Speed-to get away from defenders and to catch up to a through ball.
-Agility-to turn defenders.
-Co-ordination-to give or recive a pass or to strike a ball on the volly or to shoot.
-Power-to strike the ball hard.
Technical
-Dodging- Agility.
-Dribbling-co-ordination.
-Shoot-Power.
-Pass(give and recive)-co-ordination.
Goal Setting
Short term goals:
1.To improve my c.v endurance so I can stay playing in a game for longer without becoming fatuiged.
2.To improve my Explosive strength (power) so I can easily Barge and hold of attakers in a game of football.
3.To improve my shooting accuracy and power and also to improve my crossing skills.
Long term goals:
1.To get a regular starting place in the team i play for outside of school(mumbles albion).
Methods of training
C.v endurance-Continuous training,fartlek and interval.
explosive strength-plyometrics and weight training
Crossing skills-crossing.
